When life gives you lemons… throw a shower! That is exactly what Melissa Baum Events did to help bride-to-be Jenny prep for her wedding with her favorite ladies. Her Pink GLAM-onade Bridal Shower inspired by lemons, glitter and all things bright & girly is just too sweet!

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Melissa…
"In coming up with the theme for this shower, the hostess let me know that she always plays it safe with white and green florals and neutral colours. I knew I wanted to do something out of the box for her at the same time keeping it feminine and summery. "
"I found photos online of floral arrangements lined with citrus fruits. I presented these to her and she immediately loved them. I used that as the jumping off point and evolved the idea of citrus into a pink lemonade focus. To make the party more sophisticated, I glammed up the standard take on pink lemonade and the Pink Glam-onade theme was born."
"The party location had very neutral colours so I knew pink and yellow there would really pop. I went to my go-to stores and picked up all the pink and yellow I could find. For the centerpieces, I contacted Lisa at Sweet Woodruff who created beautiful arrangements and added some real lemons in them to tie in the theme."
"For the signature drink, the natural choice was of course spiked pink lemonade. I searched for the perfect recipe that produced a beautiful pink colour. Each drink was served out of a mason jar adorned with a striped straw and a lemon straw flag. The drink was a huge hit both aesthetically and in taste. The ladies enjoyed their pink lemonade along side a light lunch including 2 salads, poached salmon and manicotti."
"The centerpiece of the event was the sweet table with desserts from Truffle Toronto. She too incorporated the theme with pink mini donuts, mini lemon squares, flower topped mini cupcakes, pink and yellow macarons and custom sugar cookies."
"At the end of the afternoon, each guest walked away with custom favors. A personalized purse hook was placed at each seat and held a bag filled with custom lip balm, tic tacs and tissues."
